Gymnastics flips back into action preparing for another year of competition. The gymnasts are getting ready to bring the competition this year and work hard to keep up the near perfect win record from the 2017-18 school year.

Last season, Stone Bridge Gymnastics had six victories and two losses. Last year’s first meet was at Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville. Stone Bridge took a loss with a score of 120-134. The next meet was a win for Stone Bridge at Rock Ridge High School in Aldie. The Stone Bridge gymnasts scored a 121-105. The first home meet of the 2017-18 school year was another victory for Stone Bridge with a score of 123-106.

Hoping to eliminate those two losses this year, the girls have been working harder than ever.

“All the girls are so excited to start another season and get ready to work towards Regionals”, sophomore Alexa Williams says

The coach of the team also plays a key part in the beginning of the season. “I’m excited for another great season”, coach Kelly Rosati said. Ms. Rosati has been coaching Stone Bridge Gymnastics for multiple years and always carries the team far in the competition.

Tryouts began on Nov. 5 and will last the entire week. The first meet for the Stone Bridge Gymnastics Team will be on Dec. 12 at Briar Woods High School. Briar Woods, Dominion, Potomac Falls, and Tuscarora will be competing against Stone Bridge.

As the new season approaches, the gymnastics team is ready to take on the competition and win Stone Bridge High School another title.
