Upcoming Electoral Information for New Voters

Seniors at Stone Bridge are eligible to vote in the upcoming elections for Governor and the House of Delegates.

To be eligible to vote in Virginia one must be a resident of Virginia, be a U. S. Citizen, be at least 18 years old (any person who is 17 years old and will be 18 years of age at the next general election shall be permitted to register in advance and also vote in any intervening primary or special election), and not be registered and plan to vote in another state, not currently declared mentally incompetent by a court of law. If previously convicted of a felony, rights to vote must be restored.

The voting booths will be opened from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Nov. 17, 2017. The deadline to register to vote is Monday, Oct. 16, 2017.  Voting can either be In-Person or filing for an Absentee Ballot,

For new and eager voters, the upcoming election is November 7th, 2017 for the General Election for Governor and Members for the House of Delegates by District. The Candidates for Governor are Democratic nominee Ralph S. Northam, Republican nominee Edward W. “Ed” Gillespie, and Libertarian nominee Clifford D. Hyra.
