General information

The Loudoun County Public Schools College Fair gives students and parents the opportunity to explore and talk to approximately 178 Colleges, Universities, and Military representatives.

Held on Sept, 24, at Stone Bridge High School, the fair will be open to CAMPUS and AVID preview from 2:00 to 2:30, and the public from 2:30 to 5:00.

“Students have the chance to speak directly to admissions representatives of schools they otherwise may not be able to visit. It’s also a great opportunity for students to check out schools that may have not been on their radar,” In charge of college and representative registration Theresa Kurzeja said.

 Helpful Tips

A checklist is offered for students to use so they can make sure they’re gathering all the right information while attending the fair and asking the representatives all the right questions.

“Walk away knowing general information: average GPA accepted; standardized test scores and/or test optional; do they offer your major or perhaps one similar,” Ms. Kurzeja said.

Breakout Sessions

The breakout sessions giving out general information from Virginia Tech University, James     Madison University, and University of Virginia will be held at the fair.

Student Registration

Student registration is highly recommended. The barcode will allow students to spend less time filling out information sheets and more one on one time with the representative.

“Instead of taking five minutes to fill out the info card, you have provided your information in two seconds. That leaves a lot more time to get those questions answered,” Ms. Kurzeja said.

The college fair offers students a chance to explore a bunch of colleges and get all the information they need to find their right fit.
