Got Spirit?

From jersey day to black outs with bright colors and unique costumes all around the school means it’s spirit week.

It’s a tradition to spend the week before Homecoming getting ready for the big game and planning for the Homecoming Dance on Saturday.  Most of the activities are planned by the Student Council.

Ms. Taryn Gonzalez joined SCA as a sponsor this year and she explained why she enjoys spirit days so much.

“I grew up in a small town in Texas. Where everyone came together and brought everyone together, and it’s kind of a fun break from the stress of school,” Ms. Gonzalez said.

SCA members are busy coming up with fun ideas for spirit week.

“So, it’s going to be themed about road trip and we are going from west coast to east coast to Stone Bridge, which I am really excited about,” sophomore Abby Cooke said.

Cooke says the SCA will post more information on the announcements and on Twitter as the week grows closer.

“They are fun and it’s a way everyone gets involved with the school,” said freshman Melisa Ibragic.
