Excitement in the Air

Fancy dresses, spirit week, and the annual games can only mean one thing: Homecoming is around the corner.

On Oct. 6, SBHS hosted the Homecoming dance at the main gym from 8-11 p.m.

Homecoming has sparked some mixed reactions among the students, while some are planning to attend, others don’t care.

“I am excited to go to Homecoming because I get to wear a cute dress,” freshman Kathleen Yung said.

Be it dresses, or friends some just don’t like the atmosphere of Hoco.

“The music is really loud, and a bunch of my friends are not going,” sophomore Ella Ionvenili said.

Apart from being able to attend, people have also had mixed feelings about this year’s theme, road trip.

“We thought it would be fun to represent the different areas,” SCA co-sponsor Taryn Gonzalez said.

This year’s Homecoming was dj’ed by the person that did the glow down.

“He was much better than the last year Hoco guy,” sophomore Abby Cooke said.

Despite all the different reactions to this year’s homecoming, it is still considered a fun time in high school and most are excited to attend.

“I think I should experience Homecoming at least once in my high school years,” sophomore Evelyn Rude said.
