Opening of the Leesburg Ice Rink

The new ice skating rink, ION International Training Center, coming to Leesburg in Spring 2019 opens up game-changing opportunities for events from concerts to hockey games.

 

ION ITC will be a year-round twin sheet indoor ice rink and Arena. One of the ice rinks is encircled a stadium seating up to 4,200 people. This provides the people of Loudoun county with a place to enjoy tons of activities and events. It also contains a state-of-the-art gym, enclosed mirrored areas for things like ballet classes, a café, and a Pro-Shop.

 

When it comes to training, ION will host lessons for figure skaters, synchronized skaters, hockey players, general conditioning & training, and even classes for beginners.

ION’s arena is also capable of hosting, ice shows, dry and ice sports tournaments, competitions from gymnastics to dance, conventions, graduations, community assemblies, and concerts.

Although Ashburn Ice house is a much easier commute for those in Ashburn. Freshman figure skater Averie Jacobson, believes that the introduction of another ice skating rink would free up Ashburn Ice House as well as shorten the commute for those who live in Leesburg.
